Saint Michael’s is an Episcopal day school for children of all faiths and nations. It is known throughout the community for its nurturing Nursery and Pre-School programs and its strong academic curriculum from Lower through Upper School.

We offer a college preparatory course of study, in which a student can progress in math through calculus, perform extensive literature studies, a broad study of history, years of training in at least two languages, science classes taught in the laboratory from the elementary grades (covering earth science, physics and biology twice each in a student’s career), art classes, music classes, and many performance opportunities such as an annual Gilbert and Sullivan operetta. Our sports program, student council, a performing choir, and academic competitions highlight some of the extra-curricular activities available to our students.

In addition to the academic development, we strive to develop character in our students. Not only do we have a daily chapel service, we set and expect a very high standard of behavior at Saint Michael’s. Our students are positive and friendly and there is good interaction between students of different ages and between students and teachers. Our small size allows our teachers to know every student on campus. This mixing allows for mutual respect to develop between students and adults. We view ourselves as a family.

Finally, our parent body is a concerned and active group. We strive for an open relationship between faculty and parents with plenty of communication back and forth. The Parent-Teacher League of the school contributes both in time and money to the progress of the school’s long-term goals, and hosts a number of fun and educational events for fellow parents.

We welcome the chance to meet you, give you a tour of our school, and introduce you to our teachers, students, and curriculum. We encourage prospective students to spend a day with us before making a decision. Please call if you have any questions about the education available at Saint Michael’s Episcopal School or to schedule a visit.

PLEASE NOTE: Ongoing enrollment all year. To schedule your private tour or a full-day student visit, call Ann Willaert at 979.822.2715.

The gym/theater and chapel can be rented for your special event: wedding, recital, church meeting, sports event, art exhibition, etc.

The St. Michael’s Little Saints School accepts children from 6 weeks of age through 4 years. We provide a learning environment where a curriculum emphasis on math, science, social studies, art and literacy is stressed at all ages. We have developed a creative curriculum with assessments based on the individual child’s development.

The Lower School, Kindergarten through sixth grade, offers enrichment in French, Spanish, Kodaly music, art, PE, weekly library and computer lab. Students in the 6th grade choose between French and Spanish, and start with a Latin program.

The seventh through twelfth grade’s college preparatory program includes sciences, mathematics, liberal arts and fine arts. Students can start earning GPA credits in seventh grade.

We like to think that we turn out young women and young men who take joy in their studies, joy in singing, joy even in studying. The “renaissance child,” is a true child of Saint Michael’s, who does all things quite well, and some things exceptionally so, who blooms into whatever sort of person he or she is meant to be.
