Brazos Valley Foot Care has proudly served the Brazos Valley's podiatrist needs since 1970. Originally opened by Dr. Jacob Beal, Brazos Valley Foot Care's practice boundaries have widened to provide the highest quality comprehensive foot care services for the area. The practice is managed by Dr. Brian Abbey and is owned by Dr. Abbey, Dr. Eduardo Orihuela, and Dr. Robert Aguilar. In recent years, Dr. Julie Albert has also served an office at the MED Campus in the Medical Arts building in College Station.
"We provide comprehensive podiatric care throughout the Brazos Valley," informs Dr. Abbey. "For instance, we are the only provider of podiatric services for patients who are home bound and are under the care of a home health service." We take a conservative approach to treatment of foot problems, performing surgery only after attempts to correct the problem less invasively.
"As specialists, we most often treat patients that are sent to us from family doctors," says Dr. Abbey. "We want to be an integral part of the care that they get from their primary doctors while working hard to have a great working relationship with all the doctors in other communities."
With the addition of Dr. Orihuela. Dr. Aguilar, and Dr. Albert, Brazos Valley Foot Care has been able to increase the diversity of their practice with home health care, podiatric services, and nursing facilities throughout the Brazos Valley. Doctors also specialize in satellite practices in surrounding areas such as Marlin, Rosebud, Cameron, Brenham, Navasota, Caldwell, and Somerville.
The newest addition to Brazos Valley Foot Care came recently in 2009 when they moved their Brenham office to a new location at 346 Stone Hill Dr. They also expanded their open office hours from two days to five full days a week.
With innovative additions over the years, Brazos Valley Foot Care continues to strive for success while maintaining a high standard of quality and care. “We feel very honored that the community rates us so highly,” says Dr. Abbey. “We really appreciate all of our patients.”
Dr. Abbey also states, “We owe a lot of our success to the operations side of the Brazos Valley Foot Care. Every member of the staff puts the patients first. We are often acknowledged by our patients as truly caring about their well-being.” Every one on their staff takes ownership in the outcomes at Brazos Valley Foot Care. “We always try to help each other to make sure that our patients get the best care and service possible,” says Dr. Abbey.
Patients are always treated with the utmost respect and are given the right amount of time they need to communicate with the doctor. Brazos Valley Foot Care goes above and beyond by trying to schedule patients' appointments accordingly to avoid long wait times.
"We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to those who voted for us and our patients," says Dr. Abbey. "We are committed to providing the best, most comprehensive podiatric services in the Brazos Valley." Brazos Valley Foot Care will continue to manage their practice prudently, ethically, and efficiently with the mind set that. We will be a productive and valuable asset to this community for decades to come."
