St. Joseph Catholic School was established to provide excellence in education and spiritual faith formation for students, faculty, and staff. As a pastoral instrument of the Church, we respond to the needs of the whole person and support the spiritual, intellectual, physical, and social development of each student.

At St. Joseph, we challenge the students to work to the best of their abilities and to live as Christian examples of faith to one another and to the extended community.

We strive to explore and initiate innovations in education to prepare our students for leadership roles in an ever-changing and challenging society.

The High School program offers a college preparatory curriculum to all students which includes basic core classes and an expanding variety of electives. Small class size encourages students to be involved and allows teachers the opportunity to give individualized attention. The family atmosphere allows students to bolster life-long friendships in a faith-filled environment of learning and healthy competition.

Also, fundamental to any high school program is its extracurricular activities. St. Joseph has participated in and developed a winning tradition in all aspects of academic, art, and sports- related competition. The High School competes in TAPPS (Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools) competitions in football, volleyball, basketball, softball, baseball, cross country, track, cheerleading, band, music, art, and a full range of academic topics. An outstanding 98% of the students are involved in some aspect of academic, art, music, or athletic competition.

The Elementary Program has provided a solid foundation of academics that will well prepare students for success in later school years. This faith-filled education instills in students self-discipline, motivation and strong work ethics.

The basic curriculum includes math, language arts (including phonics), science, social studies and religion. Along with religious instruction and sacramental preparations, students attend Mass twice weekly as well as celebrate Holy Days of Obligation and special feast days with student led Masses.

Specialty classes include Spanish, music, physical education, library, art, enrichment and computer application. The school-wide enrichment program provides above grade level learning opportunities in small groups. It promotes creative and critical thinking skills and allows students to explore individual interests through research. Enrichment Clubs based on student’s interests meet weekly, and several enrichment events are scheduled through the year. Our Artists of the Ages art program features a specific master artist each six-week period

After School Care is available until 6:00 p.m. each school day. Summer Care is available from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Both After School Care and Summer Care require a separate registration and are available at an additional fee.

St. Joseph Catholic School is accredited by the TCCED (Texas Catholic Conference Education Department) and the TEA (Texas Education Agency). With a variety of program offerings and our focus on a well-rounded education, we believe that St. Joseph’s elementary program may be the perfect fit for your child.

St. Joseph Eagle's Nest, a part of the St. Joseph Catholic School System, offers you and your child more than childcare; it is an extended nursery provided in a loving and faith-based environment. In our fast-paced world, it is often difficult for parents to balance the demands of work with the responsibilities of providing quality care and supervision for their young children. The Eagle's Nest offers parents a place where their children will be accepted, nurtured and encouraged.

We strive to meet your child's physical, intellectual, social and emotional needs. We believe that children learn best in a creative, natural learning environment. While enrolled in The Eagle's Nest, you and your child are part of an extended family who practices the virtues of patience, sharing, compassion for self and others, and teamwork on a daily basis.

Our staff uses their knowledge and experience to offer stimulating developmental age-appropriate activities. This includes music and movement, outdoor play, sensory activities, arts and crafts, early literacy, motor skills, quiet story time, dramatic play, and lots of laughter, hugs, love and positive guidance. Spanish and sign language are taught to children of all ages, and a math and science enrichment program is offered at the pre-school level.

A child must be between the ages of eight weeks to four years old to be admitted to the program. Children who are five years old by September 1 are moved to the St. Joseph School kindergarten program the following school year. The Eagle's Nest operates out of two campuses located on Preston Drive and on Coulter in Bryan.
