Southwest Homes started building custom homes in Bryan/College Station in 1984 and we have built over 700 homes. We have some customers for whom we have built 2nd, 3rd and even 4th homes and we will be happy to provide you with a reference list of our customers.
We carry all the insurance on our construction projects including: Workmen's Compensation and Builder's Risk Insurance and General Liability Insurance. The General Liability Insurance is especially important to you as the property owner. Only builders with a proven track record and solid financial condition are able to obtain general liability insurance.
If your home is being built outside a municipal area, we contract with a licensed independent inspection service to inspect the construction of your home and give written inspection reports to assure you that your home is being built to the highest standards and within the international residential code.

Southwest Homes is strictly a Custom Homebuilder. We will build your home where you want it, the way you want it. YOU MAKE THE CHOICES .Typically our customers come to us with an idea about a plan - or- with a sketch of a plan out of a plan book or magazine - or - with a sketch from the internet - or - sometimes with a full blueprint. We have hundreds of plans at our office that we have built over the years that you can look through for ideas. Occasionally a customer will want to see how much mortgage he can qualify for before choosing a home plan, in which case, we will take a credit application and show you examples of plans that are within your budget. Bring or email us your plan, sketch or idea about what you want to build and we will ask you questions about how you want the home to be finished out. We will ask you questions about such things as cabinets, countertops, siding, floor cover, bath and light fixtures, infrastructure (septic, well, water and electrical sources, etc.), lot payoff, and from what you tell us, we'll prepare a proposal for you giving you a price to build your project and 4-5 pages of information as to what is included in theprice.

If you like our proposal and want us to go forward with your project, we will draw up the floor plans, help with the financing if needed, and will build your new home the way you want it and where you want it.Southwest Homes will design, build and finance your home to any stage of construction from a shell to 100% complete, ready to live in.
